I have extensive trail time having completed two A/T thru hikes one North and one Southbound. I have also been in the Rockies, the Cascades and completed many many years of day treks ranging from 1-20 milers.

I have been an out door type ever since childhood. I began my life in the Green Mountains of Vermont having been born there. I have traveled extensively and relocated many times, but still always manage to be drawn back to the rolling hills. I have thouroughly enjoyed Mother Natures bounty and beauty all of my life. I also have a medical background having been in the Armed Forces and being a Hospital Corpsman/Field Medic , I am a certified EMT/ Para/Ambulance Attendant and first Responder as well.

I have approx. 40 + years on trail and camping experiences to rely upon for my material presented here. I continue to enjoy the great outdoors and will until I can no longer physically.This site is being used to bring you, the viewers some of my experiences and skills needed while trekking and or camping in the wilds, no matter your location. Topics will range from shelters, trail safety, to basic first aid, pack gear, fire starting skills and techniques, to many other items. I encourage you to return often and see what is new.
